We depart Glasgow heading over the Erskine bridge on our way to Glencoe.
We have a couple of stops en route for pictures to take in the splendour of the Glencoe Valley & The Three Sisters arriving at the multi award winning Glencoe Visitor Centre.
We head south after this to the pretty conservation village of Luss situated on the western shore of Loch Lomond.
We have time for a leisurely walk around this idyllic village and also lunch. After lunch we head to Glengoyne Distillery, situated in a wooded valley in the southern Highlands.
The distillery, which takes its name from ‘Glen Guin’ or Glen of the Wild Geese, has been producing a high quality single malt for nearly 200 years. You have the opportunity to tour this wonderful distillery as well as sampling the product.
Finally no tour would be complete without a visit to the Distillery shop ! Important Information

We depart Glasgow heading east to our first stop Edinburgh Castle.

You have the option to take a boat trip and hunt for Nessie, explore the shores of the loch or simply relax and enjoy your free locally produced picnic lunch. (A typical lunch includes a bottle of Scottish mineral water, a choice of freshly made sandwiches and shortbread). Our return journey passes south along Loch Laggan stopping at one of the quaint Highland villages along the way. After one last sight of the spectacular Forth Bridges we arrive back in Glasgow around 8pm.

From Glasgow our minicoach travels north, before making a coffee stop on the shores of Loch Lomond. Travelling the length of the loch, we climb up into the Highlands, over the unique, desolate landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to majestic Glencoe, one of Scotland’s best-loved glens, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan.
Continuing via Loch Linnhe, we stop in Fort William area for lunch then continue into the natural beauty of the Great Glen as we pass beneath Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
Travelling on, we admire the Caledonian Canal, and the pretty village of Fort Augustus, enjoying spectacular views of Loch Ness, as we drive along the shoreline to Urquhart Castle. Loch Ness, 24 miles long and over 700 feet deep is more famous for its sightings of the Loch Ness monster, affectionately known as ‘Nessie’.
We spend approximately two hours at Loch Ness, where you can choose to take a wonderful 5 Star Jacobite cruise and explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle and visitor centre. Passing through Inverness,
Capital of the Highlands, we start our return for home, crossing the Grampian Mountains and the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl, with an evening refreshment stop at the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, en route back to Glasgow

1 We start our journey in Glasgow taking in George Square, Glasgow Cathedral, St Mungo Museum, Oldest Buiding in Glasgow, Glasgow University & Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
After Glasgow we head over the Erskine bridge to Loch Lomond and the idyllac village of Luss. We stop hear for lunch. We proceed along the A82 to Glencoe taking in the Glencoe Valley and The Three Sisters for photo stops before arriving at The Glencoe Visitor Centre
We stop off at Fort William for an overnight stay Day 2 Our road to Skye takes in some breath taking scenery.
Our first stop is The Commando Memorial.
We then proceed to Loch Garry which is famous for the shape of the shoreline being nick named “Map Of Scotland” After Loch Garry we travel onto Eilean Donan Castle.
It is one of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan Castle is recognised all around the world. Its situated on an island where three great lochs meet and surrounded by majestic scenery.. From there we head over the Skye Bridge past the Cuillin Mountains to Portree on the Isle Of Skye.
We stop here for lunch. After lunch we travel through The Trotternish Peninsuala taking in Old Man of Storr, Lealt Waterfall & Kilt Rock.
We stop off at Portree for an overnight stay Day 3 Our road back to Glasgow takes us to our first stop Urquhart Castle with breath taking views of Loch Ness.
If your lucky you may get the chance to see “Nessie” the monster! We then proceed to the Loch Ness Visitor Centre. After that we proceed onto Invernes Castle and stop for lunch.
Having finished lunch we set off for Pitlochry Fish Ladder. Here is where 5000 salmon migrate through each year. We also take in the picturesque town of Pitlochry.
Our last stop on our tour is the iconic Forth Road Bridge at South Queensferyy.
We have time for a marvelous photo stop before heading back to Glasgow Important Tour and Accommodation Information. Tour price does not include accommodation. Day 1
Doune Castle, Loch Lomond & Glencoe
Today is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape and historic structures beginning with a visit to Doune Castle used as a film location for ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’ as well as ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Outlander’. Next, we tour west and admire Loch Lomond in Scotland’s first National Park, stopping to explore on foot at the beautiful lochside village of Luss on the shores of the loch. Touring north, we venture through the fabulous mountains of Glencoe, steeped in history with dramatic scenery and learn of the grim McDonald massacre of 1692. Overnight nr Glencoe
Day 2
Loch Ness & Whisky
This morning we take in the wonderful Highland town of Fort William, Scotland’s largest Highland town, to view Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Touring north, we travel through the ‘Great Glen’ to the charming village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness. After a relaxing walk along the Caledonian Canal to enjoy the atmosphere we now head further north to sample the ‘Water of Life’, or ‘Uisge Beatha’ in Gaelic, at the Whisky Distillery before heading to Inverness, the ‘Capital of the Highlands’. Day 3
Cairngorms National Park & Blair Castle
This morning we tour south to explore the Cairngorms National Park with towering mountain ranges and large tracts of the original Caledonian Pine Forest. Heading south, we take in the village of Carrbridge, home to the oldest pack-horse bridge in the Highlands, and the Rothiemurchus Estate at the foot of the Cairngorms mountain range. Enjoy a visit to Blair Castle & Gardens when we reach Highland Perthshire and a look around the Victorian town of Pitlochry in the heart of Scotland. This charming town developed significantly after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert visited the area in 1842 and bought a highland estate at nearby Balmoral. Overnight Pitlochry
Day 4
St. Andrews & East Neuk Fishing Village
The last day of the tour explores the charming East Neuk of Fife; Neuk being the Scots word for ‘corner’. We head into the historic town of St Andrews to explore the cobbled streets and alleyways of ‘The Home of Golf’. You may wish to visit some of the interesting shops, the ruins of St Andrews Castle, the Cathedral, or admire the Universuty campus that once hosted Prince William while he attended the University – one of the oldest in the world. We head back to Edinburgh via the quaint East Neuk fishing village of Pittemweem that is currently the most active fishing port along this coast.

Day 1
Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park & Glencoe
Day 1 Today is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape. Picking-up in Glasgow we head north to explore the mountains, lochs and rivers of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. We’ll stop at the village of Luss before taking in the full length of the loch and the Falls of Falloch to the north. Later, we travel over unspoilt Rannoch Moor and take time to admire and photograph the mountains of Glencoe before heading for the highland town of Fort William for the evening.
Day 2
Glen Nevis, Castle Stalker & Oban
Day 2 After breakfast we head for Glen Nevis and take a drive out to the Lower Falls below our highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Later, we tour south along Loch Linnhe with the option of an easy 1hr walk that crosses the tidal marshes for a good viewpoint of Castle Stalker. This afternoon we take in the seaside town of Oban sitting in a perfect crescent occupying the hills surrounding Oban Bay. The most outstanding views can be seen from McCaig’s Tower. Overnight Oban.
Day 3
Kilmartin Glen & Inveraray
Day 3 This morning we travel through to Kilmartin, often referred to as the birthplace of Scotland. Kilmartin Glen is rich with prehistoric remains, and a 2 hr walk takes in the most impressive cairns and standing stones. Reaching Inveraray, we can enjoy lunch and visit the historic castle here, home to the Duke & Duchess of Argyll. Our final leg of the journey takes us over the Argyll mountains with great views on our way back to Glasgow.

Day 1
Glenkinchie, Culross village & Deanston
This morning we head out of the capital to visit Glenkinchie – the Edinburgh Malt. This is a must-do journey through Glenkinchie’s rich heritage and includes a tutored whisky tasting of 3 drams and a wee cocktail in the Tasting Room – a delicious start to a wonderful whisky adventure. Next, we tour to Culross; a traditional village with pan-tile roofs and fine 17th century architecture that featured in the ‘Outlander’ series. End the day with a visit to Deanston Distillery near Stirling. Overnight Stirling.
Day 2
Glengoyne, Tullibardine & Lindores
We head for Glengoyne Distillery, often described as Scotland’s most beautiful distillery, that sits on the edge of the Highland/Lowland line. Enjoy an informative tour and tasting here. The onward journey passes through stunning scenery to the bustling town of Callander situated on the River Teith. We visit the shop at Tullibardine Distillery that produces wonderful artisanal whisky and spend the afternoon at beautiful Lindores Abbey Distillery, where distilling has taken place on this site since at least 1494. We recommend a 3-flight tasting here. Overnight Perth.
Day 3
St Andrews, Kingsbarns & Fife
Explore the ancient and historic town of St. Andrews consisting of narrow alleys and cobbled streets. The University of St. Andrews, founded in 1410, dominates the centre of town and afterwards, you’ll not want to miss a tour and tasting at nearby Kingsbarns Distillery – it’s a great place for a light lunch too. Visit the exhibition space, go on a guided tour of the distillery, and then head to the tasting rooms to sample Kingsbarns single malts including the award-winning ‘Dream to Dram’. We now make our way back to Edinburgh via the village of South Queensferry.

Day 1
Loch Lomond & Glencoe
Day 1 is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape, exploring the mountains, glens and lochs of Scotland’s first National Park and the picturesque village of Luss to take in the splendid scenery on offer. Travelling west we head for the lochside village of Inveraray (Scotland’s first planned town). After lunch we tour through the stunning west coast scenery to the town of Oban known locally as the “Gateway to the Isles”. Overnight Oban.
Day 2
Road to the Isles
Day 2 begins with a look at the Glencoe before we head west on the “Road to the Isles” providing wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles. Our journey follows in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie and at Glenfinnan we’ll see where Charlie raised the Royal Standard which marked the beginning of the ’45 rebellion. Later, we tour through to the fishing village of Mallaig and cross “Over the Sea to Skye”. Overnight nr Skye
Day 3
Isle of Skye
Day 3 is a magical tour of the Isle of Skye as we cross over the Skye bridge, passing through Broadford and the Cuillin Mountains to the main settlement on the Island, Portree, with colourful houses and traditional harbour. Later, we head north to admire the scenery and views at the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock Falls, and the unique landscape of the Quiraing. This will be a day to remember. Overnight nr Skye
Day 4
Eilean Donan Castle & Loch Ness
Day 4 begins with a spectacular visit to iconic Eilean Donan Castle before travelling through Glen Shiel to the charming village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness. We’ll stop for lunch here with a chance to look around before moving on to travel the length of the loch. The afternoon is spent visiting the Single Malt Whisky Distillery at Glen Ord, situated on the edge of the Black Isle, just west of Inverness. Overnight nr Inverness.
Day 5
Culloden & Cairngorms National Park
Day 5 we enjoy a morning visit to Culloden Battlefield which will provide a lasting image of Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite Army. We’ll visit Inverness, “Capital of the Highlands”, for lunch and a look around before we tour south to explore the Cairngorms National Park, visiting Carrbridge on the way, with the option of a walk amongst rare Caledonian Pines. We end the day in the Victorian tourist town of Pitlochry. Overnight Pitlochry
Day 6
Highland Perthshire & Stirling Castle
Day 6 we enjoy a leisurely morning with some free time in the Victorian town of Pitlochry before we travel to the quaint highland village of Dunkeld with its ancient riverside Cathedral. The journey south takes us to Stirling and after a delicious lunch we head for Stirling Castle; the favoured residence of Scotland’s Kings and Queens, for a full tour to take in the castles’ long and turbulent history. Overnight Stirling.
Day 7
Rosslyn Chapel & Edinburgh
Day 7 we travel east to Edinburgh and begin with a visit to 15th century Rosslyn Chapel made famous by Dan Brown’s book The Da Vinci Code. Later, we head for Edinburgh Castle for a visit and enjoy a walk down the Royal Mile to take in its charming medieval architecture and the opportunity to do some last minute speciality shopping.

Day 2
Road to the Isles
Day 2 takes us west on the spectacular ‘Road to the Isles’ providing wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rhum. Our journey follows the West Highland Railway, intended to help open up this rural and remote part of the Scottish Atlantic coast. After a lovely lunch in the traditional fishing port of Mallaig we take the ferry “Over the Sea to Skye”. Overnight Skye area.
Day 3
Isle of Skye
Day 3 is a tour of the Isle of Skye, passing the Cuillin mountains and on to the main settlement on the Island, Portree, with its colourful harbour front and interesting shops. Heading north we take in Uig, the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock Falls and travel through the rugged Trotternish Peninsula with other options a possibility. This will be a day to remember. Day 4
Eilean Donan Castle & Central Highlands
Day 4 begins with a visit to iconic Eilean Donan Castle before travelling through Glen Shiel to the charming village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness – keep a look out for Nessie! Later we travel east to spend the afternoon in the Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve, where we can have a short walk to enjoy its unique combination of woodland and open moorland. Highland Perthshire & Stirling Castle
Day 5 we enjoy some free time in the Victorian town of Pitlochry before we tour south via Dunkeld village with its ancient riverside Cathedral. Today begins with a scenic trip over the “Bealach Na Ba” mountain pass to the remote Applecross Peninsula. This is a beautiful and tranquil place on the rugged coast of Wester Ross with stunning Highland scenery. The area is well known for its spectacular mountain scenery, especially the Torridon Hills. Later on we enjoy a light walk out to watch leaping salmon on the river. Overnight nr Inverness
Day 5
Loch Ness & Whisky
Enjoy some free time in the beautiful city of Inverness this morning before we head off along the shores of Loch Ness. The journey south offers fabulous scenery and picturesque villages along the way, we stop at Fort Augustus village to take in the atmosphere and admire the Caledonian Canal before touring north up Loch Ness. End the day with a fun and informative guided tour at the Whisky Distillery. Overnight nr Inverness.
Day 6
Central Highlands
After breakfast we visit Culloden Battlefield which will provide a lasting image of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the brave souls who lined up to face the soldiers of the British Government. After a guided tour of the battlefield, explore the Cairngorms National Park with heather-clad hills, vast swathes of Caledonian Scots Pines and abundant wildlife. Perthshire & Stirling Castle
